History
Founded in 2009 Merkled Studio is the company of designer + craftswoman Kari Merkl
Kari has been designing and creating objects of function for over 20 years. Her study of architecture eventually led her to the world of industrial design. This background in spatial aesthetics has informed her sense of conceptual design and hands on fabrication, allowing her to move freely between both worlds. Her work reflects her own appreciation for materials, mechanics and craft.
Merkled Studio's work has been shown at galleries and retail stores around the world including the NY MOMA Design Store, ICFF, IDS, and NeoCon
