strata seat no.1

this strata seat no. 1 was collaboration between merkled and designer susanna hohmann. it stands as a continuation of exploring the simplicity of cut aluminum bent to form. the industrial felt is sandwiched in between the two panels and a molded seat pops through the top. each layer of felt was dyed to give it a slight gradation highlighting the layers. this is the first of a series.
